Adelaide

Adelaide is the capital city of the Australian state of South Australia. It is the largest city in South Australia and fifth largest city in Australia. It is the  most populas city in South Australia with the population about 1.1 million. Adelaide is a costal city, situated on the north of Fleurieu Peninsula, on the Adelaide plains, Gulf of St. Vincent on the west and low range mountain called Mount Lofty on the east about 20 kilometers from Adelaide, you can enjoy beautiful view of Adelaide from this point.
Adelaide was named in honour of Queen Adelaide, the wife of King William IV. The city of Adelaide was founded in 1836, as the planned capital city for the free-settled British province in the soil of Australia. Adelaide is entirely surrounded by parkland. Square mile Adelaide CBD is in fact inside the parkland. River Torrens runs just north of CBD, through the middle of the city. The design and the location of the city to be built close to River Torrens was choosen by one of the Adelaide’s founding fathers, Colonel William Light.
Adelaide being the state’s capital city and centre of business, you will find many government departments and financial organisations located in and around the city, mainly concentracted along North Terrace and King William Street.
Adelaide also has, O-Bahn Busway, the only city in Australia to have this road and rail bus network system, runs on the road just like normal buses and on track when going up the hill, avoiding the need for traveller to change. It is also know as Northeast Busway by the locals. Developed by Germany, Bahn means "Way" or "Road" in German.
Adelaide is also known as city of churches.
